Adult Speech Pathology services in Brisbane.
We provide adult speech pathology services for adults with neurological conditions such as stroke, brain injury, progressive neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s Disease or Dementia.
The Speech Guy & Co. also offers mobile, or home-visiting speech pathology services, south of the Brisbane CBD. Having sessions in your home allows you to get the support you need within the comfort of your own environment. We can also hold sessions within other locations in the community (e.g. shopping centres, cafes, workplaces) so that you can practice your skills in the real world.
Some conditions that we can work with and treat include: aphasia (neurological language difficulties), cognitive-communication disorders, dysarthria (unclear speech caused by a neurological condition), and dysphagia (swallowing difficulties)
We are able to accept referrals from clients with NDIS (plan or self-managed), Medicare/Chronic Disease Management Plans, Private Health Insurance, Home Care Packages, Workcover Queensland, and the National Injury Insurance Scheme Queensland (NIISQ).
