Speech therapy after a stroke or brain injury

Michael is a speech pathologist. He comes to your home, anywhere on the south side of Brisbane.

What Michael helps with

A stroke or brain injury can change how you talk, understand, read, write or swallow. Michael works on the parts that matter most to you.

Talking and finding words

Getting the words out. Saying what you mean. Being understood by the people around you.

Understanding others

Following a conversation. Keeping up when more than one person is talking.

Swallowing safely

Eating and drinking without coughing or choking. Working out which foods are safe for you.

Reading and writing

Reading a letter or a menu. Writing a message. Using your phone again.

Speaking clearly

Speech that has become slurred, quiet or hard to follow, including with Parkinson’s disease.
